Register to Vote
You are eligible to vote in New York City if you are:
- A U.S. citizen
- A New York City resident for at least 30 days
- At least 18 years old (you can pre-register to vote at 16 or 17, but you must be 18 to vote)
- Not in prison for a felony conviction
- Not claiming the right to vote elsewhere
- Not found to be incompetent by a court

Every registered voter in New York can vote by mail.

Polls are open on Election Day from 6am-9pm.
